Preview animation is where?

In Anime Studio Pro, when I chose Preview Animation, a Quicktime window opened up and it played there. Now with Moho, when I click on Preview Animation, my image browser pops up but it's not playing the preview. I don't see where to specify those settings.... can anyone help?

It gets saved to the Render Cache directory.

Where's that? An easy way to access it is to press Ctri-R to start a Render Preview and wait for the window to popup. At the bottom left you'll see a button called Render Cache. Click it and the movie you previously rendered with Preview Animation should be in there (along with other test and preview renders.)

Once you have that directory's path, you might want to save a shortcut to it so you won't have to rely on the Render Preview trick.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, I mis-read your post. I guess you're actually asking what happened to the Preview Animation command? That's strange because it's working here. Let me check to be sure.

Yeah, I just checked. My playback is using VLC instead of QuickTime player, probably because I have VLC set as my default movie player for .MP4 files. Maybe the file association between .mp4 files and your player needs to be reset?

I seem to remember Quicktime only being available to 32bit (x86) versions of Anime Studio/Moho. Were you using a 64bit version?

Yes, I think you're right but I don't think this has to do with rendering with QT, just playback with the QT player. At workplace, my ASP 11/Moho 12 x64 Animation Preview movies (.mp4) are automatically opened by the QuickTime Player. (It opens VLC on my tablet probably because I have it set there as the default player.)

Thanks for all this--- I'll set mp4's to play in VLC, and I will check out where the render cache is going. Thanks again :)
