I just bought Moho Pro 11 today and was exploring to see what is new and discovered that after I drew a line with a freehand tool, I could not delete the points. I read the user manual which said I can delete it if I used Transform tool on the point. Well, I did use Transform tool but it still does not delete it (Control X or even Shift X). I tried looking up Modifier keys but there is nothing that suggest a modifier key for deleting points.

In Anime Studio Pro 11 I can delete points pretty easily. In Moho, I struggled to find a way to delete them - no luck.

Have they remove a modifier for deleting points but leaving no way for us to do that on our own? Kinda bummed about it.

You can delete the points by selecting them and pressing delete. Selection can be done with the Select Points tool with lasso or marquee, or by using the Transform tool and clicking directly on the points or with a marquee if you hold down the Ctrl modifier. (Tip: all hotkey info is on the screen under the tool settings bar.)

You can also delete points by 'erasing' them using the Delete Edge tool. Just hold down the Ctrl key and wipe the cursor over the points you wish to delete.

Modifier? It's always been delete/backspace...and still is.

Or, are you not on frame 0? Normally, you can't delete points unless you're on frame 0--unless you disable 'Enable drawing tools only on frame 0' in the Preferences panel. (I usually leave this on...otherwise, it's too easy for me to make an accident. There are times when I just have to turn this off though.)

It was on frame 0. For some strange reason I couldn't delete points with the usual delete like it usually do in Anime Studio Pro 11. Even if the transform tool is enabled. I tried Selection tool too, no such luck. (I also unchecked the box to disable 'Enable drawing tools only on frame 0' - still the same problem.)

But Delete Edge tool seems to work on the points, though, and the modifier for "clear" works as well (although they made vector lines a bit wonky after deleting points.) It's just that I can't remove points the usual way with "delete."

Strange....I just discovered that I can only select and delete two or so points with the usual Delete. One single point, I cannot delete the usual way unless I use Delete Edge or Clear. Odd.

If you haven't already done so, have you tried saving, quitting and restarting? Sometimes when I run into weird behavior with tools, closing and relaunching the program sometime fixes it.

Something else: It may have been a coincidence but I ran into odd tool problems last week when I had both 11 and 12 running at the same time. Running both programs at the same time really should not be a problem but try running one at a time if the problem persists.

I did as you suggested. When I tried to delete a single point it still didn't remove it. Only if I select two points or so, I can.

Hmm, I realized that when I said "delete", I mean Control X, not the button with the word Delete on it. (Just in case I'm not clear earlier). Interestingly, when I hit the Delete button, it does remove a point. But not when I hit Control X. Maybe I can deal with using Delete button for now, I guess. Thanks so much for your suggestions tho.

....By the way, I was typing too fast, I meant to say Moho Pro 12, not 11. D'oh!

Moho should not allow you to cut (ctrl+X) a single point, because it does not allow you to then paste a single point. Orphan points are not allowed to exist. This is the same behavior in AS11.

Maybe you're confusing the operation of some other software?

That's weird because I can delete a point with ctrl-x in Anime Studio Pro 11 just fine. (That is, when I was drawing a vector line art with freehand tool). ?_?

No, if you hold ctrl and drag across a point you can delete it, but ctrl+X deletes the whole last stroke made with the freehand tool. Maybe you need to open up AS11 and verify some of this.

Actually that doesn't work with Freehand--that deletes edges. Ctrl to delete points works when you're using the Delete Edges tool though. (I really want that for Freehand though.)
