Can I Bake Bone Dynamics?

Is there any way to bake bone dynamics so that the animation is the same no matter what frame I start on? Otherwise I'll just have to render out a bunch of leader frames for walk cycles, etc.

Mike Green has a script for baking bones animation:

I'm not sure it works with dynamics but it might worth a try. You'll probably want to to work with a copy of your scene and save an Action for the results. Hope it works for you.

Hmmm... the script seems to be choking on my scene. I'll probably dissect the code to figure out what could be done, though. Thanks for the link!

It's possible that the script may be too old. I think Mike is still active with ASP so you might want to contact him if you have questions. He's on these forums so maybe you can send a PM.
Just a thought: maybe you could freeze the poses as you step through? That probably won't work with Dynamics but might worth a try.

Saw this was a fairly old post...but having the same struggles and wanted to ask/bump this.
I get a GREAT bone dynamics flow going, then when it's time to render, I almost can't get enough frames on either side of the animation to absorb the wild jumping of the bones as they initalize!
Any ideas or new scripts would be awesome!

I'm also looking for this. It would be very useful but I couldn't find anything other than this script by dkwroot that is very cool but it wasn't meant for this, it doesn't actually bake the bone movements, but the point animation, so you end having your... hair for example, point animated without any bone influence. I think it's the best solution while we don't have a real "bake bone dynamics".
