Anime' Studio won't open for me...

Periodically, I can't get ASP to open. I have the program shortcut on my desktop, plus several ASP documents stored in folders, also on the desktop. I try double-clicking on all of them and there's no response. Zero. Does this happen to anyone else?

I also get error messages periodically saying, "This document was not properly saved. Do you want to restore it?" I always say 'yes' and it appears.

Not infrequently ASP cannot find an image. (Background images mostly) "Do you want to find it manually?" I do, I find it, and all's well.

But ASP feels to be a bit 'buggy'.

Missing image assets are due to either moving the AS file or the image file. If you want to move either, you should do Gather Media and move that instead. If an instance of AS is already open, the shortcuts will not appear to work, since they are only opening in the already open instance. Maybe your taskbar is hidden and you don't notice it's already open. And if you don't notice it's open, you could be shutting down your computer without saving properly.

After reviewing the possibilities suggested, I can safely say that none of them apply in this case. However; I did shake things loose by simply doing a 'restart'.

I restart my computer daily, and I've never had any of those issues. Restarting your computer regularly can protect against small errors and memory leaks that can accumulate over time.
