Hi folks,
I tried to use Anime Studio Pro animations with the Explainer Tool "Explaindio" - they allow the import of SWF's.
So I made a simple animation, exported it and tried it to import it into Explaindio. Nope, just doesn't work.
The SWF plays well inside a browser.
So I asked the Explaindio guys and they replied: the SWF is without ActionScript 3. And without an ActionScript animation Explaindio won't be able to use the SWF. Ayayaya... No I'm not very much into SWF / Flash and ActionScript (never been, never will because already mostly dead technology) but... Hey, still the only option to get the animations into Explaindio.
Any idea how to solve this problem? Is there a way to convert the animations inside the SWF to ActionScript? Any plans for Anime Studio Pro to support this way of using SWF's? I searched the forums (and google'd of course) but found nothing, nada, niente...
Cheers,
Andrew

Re: SWF Export & ActionScript
Since swf is a dying format, I seriously doubt AS will improve upon swf export. As far as converting swf to actionscript, you'd be better off asking in a Flash forum.

Re: SWF Export & ActionScript
Get an old copy of Flash (the next version up from Flash 8 had Actionscript 3, I think). You should be able to pick up an old version of Flash for next to nothing on eBay, and then you can import and export with impunity. I would say that is this is a very inefficient way of using Flash though...
You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Hey folks, thanks for the replies. A death strike to my already diminishing hopes to find a solution
