Copy-Paste keyframe doesn't work

Hello,
I wonder if you could advise, please?

I am using ASP 11.2 for Windows.

I have a shape/object in place on the stage and have created a keyframe for it at frame 1.
I moved the timeline marker to frame 24.
I relocated the object and created a second keyframe at 24.
I moved the timeline marker to frame 48.
I copied the keyframe indicator (tiny circle) from frame 1 and pasted it at frame 48.

But, when I pasted it, the object wasn't at its original position (i.e. where it was one frame 1).
I checked by running the animation... same deal.
I'm precisely emulating a training video... but getting different results.

I THINK I've figured it out.

The timeline marker has to be AT the keyframe button-thing during the copy. It cannot be elsewhere or, seemingly, it sort-of copies the state where the timeline marker is.

Have I got it, please? Brain hurts.

The timeline marker only determines where a keyframe is pasted. Are you sure you used the same method (point motion, layer translation, etc.) to create all your keyframes?

... and the key to copy has to be selected. Note that you can select keys that are away from the current frame. And, as synthsin75 says, make sure that the key you're copying is relevant to what you want.

I'm a bit bewildered. When I'm using the Infinite Skills ASP11 work file, it doesn't work. When I start from scratch, it does!

I note that in the IS completed file, there's a timeline labelled "Bone Translation" which (1) isn't mentioned in the video, and (2) I cannot find a Bone Translation Tool to match it.

The transform bone tool handles bone translation, scale, and rotation. These are separate animation channels.
