Can animation be exported to use on top of video?

Can complex studio anime pro animations (many layers, images, groups, motion) be exported with a keyline mask so that it can be incorporated on top of running video in video editing software? Not finding anything in the manual, forums, or searches on how to export that or if it's even possible. Any knowledge greatly appreciated.

You just render out as png sequence and you'll get an alpha, or transparent background automatically, you should always be rendering out image sequences anyway for production.

Yes, as mentioned just export to PNGs and you will get transparent backgrounds, You can also turn off antialiasing in the project settings to get a sprite like effect, that is, no antialiasing for compositing!
