Can someone help me?
I want my character to go from front view to side view
should I just translate the bones and make adjustments to torso?
And what about the head?
How do I hide one eye?
For some reason when I use masking in group it doesn't work?
Help?

IMO. the basic principle of any "turn" is to "unwrap" the shape on frame 0; then on frame 1 shove the parts you don't want behind other bits or drop their visual width to zero - and then, when you want the turn, shove the points around / use animated shape order as necessary to drop shapes behind others / bring them forward. I use smartbones for this (doing all this has got a whole lot easier in the more recent versions of AS!! Back in AS6/7 days it was really hard work!)
take a look at this for a simple illustration (AS11.2) of the principle (apologies for the lax attention to perspective / form): https://www.mediafire.com/?81zjczgcg28cvrt
and that principle in action, especially in the fairy head / body turn, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmNs0Wzz4UA (the front-on rig has about 20 smartbones for turns etc)

You can layer sort the eye layer behind the face, but there other ways to do this as well.

What does your layer set up look like and what are the mask settings?

Here are some threads by Victor, but these are fairly advanced, so you should have good basic understanding of AS before trying them out.
