If you go to Sony Media Software and log into your account, you'll find the serial numbers for all your products under My Account - My Software.

I never made an account, I bought the disc off ebay that had the SN with it. I have since lost the disc.

I downloaded the CS2 software from Adobe but it is completely confusing how to install it. I had to make an account with them just to download it but the instructions are something out of the '80's. They have you down load it in 5 parts and you have to install it by a way my windows 8 does not understand.

Regardless, if you had a serial number and have activated it, it should still be registered to Sony Media Software because the initial activation involves submitting your name, address, etc.,. If you never got around to creating an account, I would contact Sony Media Software's tech support. If you've activated Vegas, SMS should have a record of it under the name you submitted. They're usually very responsive and helpful. For example, I ran into an issue about a year ago when I installed the software on a new computer and the installer reported that I had used up my activations and locked me out, but after contacting SMS, they got me up and running again immediately.

Just a suggestion.
