Redesign test of the T Rex Character, still have to do new 3/4 front and profile views in order to give him a head turn.

This clip will eventually be spliced together with animation posted in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=27450

Also, if you read Selgin's post on functions and the motion graph:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=27669

you can see at the 5 second mark that the tail follows the function labeled Physical 4, 5. Actually, its the top two bones in the tail, with the tip following along 2 frames after the rest.

Nice design! Is this replacing the t-rex from your small t-rex skip cycle video? I also like that character design. Although this version is a bit scarier than the small t-rex, and that helps the scene make sense.

Thanks for your reply, lawaxana.

He does look a bit scarier, but he ends up the hero, by saving the cute little t-rex's birthday party from attack by ruffians. That tiny dino he's holding is a rhamphorynchus, which the T Rex decides not to eat, but rather to wear as a batman-style mask.

Here's what the old design looked like.

All the changes were made to the face and head. Happily, the new design has a much greater range of expression. He can now show anger, surprise or even skepticism. (Though the difference between the two designs will disappear somewhat while he's wearing the mask).
