How to use 'Add Color' function in Tool Properties dialog?

I just can't get it to work, and help would be appreciated. This is on Windows 7.

Not sure I understand what You want to achieve here, You want to add a tool in the toolbox that adds a color or You are talking about adding a color in the styles window?

Go to the Tool Layout tab in Preferences, notice the Add Colors option, try and use it. This is what it is supposed to do:
Add Color: A color marker sets the background color
behind the tools and groups that follow the color
marker. The color will continue until another color
marker is encountered in the list.

AFAIK it should give a background for a tool group, so you can color code the groups to make them easy to identify. I am thinking there is a bug here and it isn't working.

I didn't know about that feature. It's not working here either. I will make a report.

Same here, cant make it work, even worst, it screwed my install somehow, need to find a way to fix it, as ASP now crashes every time I want to start it!

Are you on Windows? I noticed something about ASP recently after a crash, I had to kill the process before it would launch again. You may want to try that before uninstalling etc.

Tried that, even rebooted, no change, I then uninstalled, reinstalled, still not working, then I uninstalled then manually cleaned the registry, still not working!
Next I'll format the whole thing, reinstall Windows and software, and if that does not work, I'll go to the pub and get drunk!
Then I will never touch that part of the settings ever again!

Amen to that!
System reinstalled, easy enough from a USB key, but still, looks like a useful feature, thanks for pointing it out.
