Live-preview?

Hi guys!:)
I am wondering if there is any plugin/script which can allow me to have real-time preview of all things I have in my workspace? (i mean exactly the same preview like after going into "rendered" preview). I believe you understand me, English isnt my native language, Id like to apologize for all mistakes i made.
In another way- i want to see 'crayon' and 'drop shadow' effects (and some more) in my workspace, but I have no idea how to achieve that. Is there any way to do that? (i looked also into options but couldnt find anything).
