Working with a "section" of an audio track in AS10

So I have a 5 minute long track I am animating to, but there are different scenes. Is there a way to move the audio to just a certain section of it so I can animate to that particular 30 seconds, then open a new scene, and move to a different part of the track and animate that part. Just to get all the lip synching right etc. Or do I have to slice up the audio file with another program and then open each scene, import that portion of the audio and animate the scene to it?

You can move the audio layer in Sequencer view as well as any other layer.

I always have an animatic prepared in a video editor before I work in ASP. In the editor (I use Vegas Pro but any editor will do) I'll output a separate audio file for each 'scene' clip and use that in ASP. The smaller audio clips are much easier to manage in ASP, require less memory, and it's frame accurate to what's in the edit on a shot-by-shot basis.
Optional note: Sometimes I'll expand the trim range in edit for handles, if I think I'm going to need them.
One more note: This depends on you're workflow but, if you're outputting a video file for your editing program, you'll probably want to disable the audio track layer before rendering. Naturally, if you're rendering to frames (e.g., PNG,) this won't be a issue.
