Size of "transformation box" around a layer.

So I created a group layer for a characters head and when I put all the pieces in (hair, skull etc.) and I click to resize the group layer so I can make the head proper proportions. The box that opens up around it where you can click to drag it wider or transform it however...is HUGE, like to resize the head I have to zoom way out and what not. Kind of annoying why is this happening and how can i fix it?

I'm not 100% sure but I think the size of the box for a group layer is determined by the location of the origins of all the vector layers inside. Double check to see if you have an origin set way out in left field in one of the sub-layers.

I also would love to know if there's a solution to this. It is quite annoying.

Same here. It would be much easier to use if it only encompassed the pieces you are actually moving.

make sure the origin of the group layer itself is inside the group not off to the side somewhere - I don't see the same issue here when all origins are within the shapes...
