it should be a message "if you close the main moho window during render, the render don't be finished".
this is what happens: you start render, then you can minimize the render window, and still working, even you can close the file and open another.
i think that should be a advice.

Yes this happens to me also if i minimize the window.
But i am not sure if it is driver- or hardware-dependant.

Which operating system are you using? Moho should warn you before quitting if a render is in progress.

i'm using windows xp.

i do use Win2k and all SP. (sorry for the late reply)
