SVG Import Text to Outlines Warped

I've run into another issue in my workflow using Illustrator and then AS. I have some text in Illustrator which I converted to outlines. Then exported to SVG. The other shapes as part of the export import into AS fine - great actually. However, the "text" appears warped.

I've attached an image of what I mean. Notice the AS imported vectors appear "bulging"? Again, I'm not encountering this warped problem with "shapes" exported from Illustrator to SVG and then imported to AS.

The font in question is an Adobe Typekit font. I tried to use a text layer in AS but for some reason the font doesn't appear in the font panel so I had to go the export / import route (as far as I can tell). Regardless, since I converted to outlines in Illustrator, I don't need the actual font.

Thank you for any help!

The problem is with AS. It's not a 1 to 1 conversion. Open both programs and look at the points. The added curvature is the way AS get the import done.

I suggest that you import the text as an image.

Hi Dale,

Thanks for the recommendation! The image route works great as the "text" was going to have minimal animation applied to it anyway. I wanted to make sure I wasn't exporting or doing something wrong. Thanks again!

Enabling legacy curves in the vector layer's layer settings vector tab also helps.
