SOLVED: AS10 Pro Robot with target bones

I'm looking to recreate the armature of the robot that comes in AS10Pro as an example. As you can see, the robot can squat just by dragging down the main central bone. The knees bend outward, in opposite direction, as they supposed to.
In the animation of the robot, around frame 40, the robot actually can bend both knees in the same direction! Without using any switch layers!!!
But I have tried again and again. I can turn the foot using the smart bone, but the knee keeps bending outward, not in the other direction. I want to recreate this so I can use it on my characters, and I can't explain myself how was this done. Does anyone know how to achieve a turn of a leg with target bones? Thanks in advance.

I haven't examined that file in depth to see how that is done, but from my own experience, it you "force" a rotation key frame on the "aiming" bone (the calf of the robot), the leg will "pop" in the other direction and bend the way you want.
I think you would put in this key when the leg is "straight" so it doesn't just "pop" to the other angle.

Thanks Vern! It worked.
Selected calf bone.
Used the newly improved transform bone tool.
Moved to the next keyframe and changed the value of the angle to add rotation keyframe.
And voila.
Thanks again!

You're welcome!
I created an "alternate' type of rig with target bones that has a target for the knee that allows "dragging" another bone to move the knee. It requires more bones and also more keys to animate the leg but allows for more direct control of the leg positions and doesn't "pop" when you change the direction of the leg bend.
I will be posting it soon with a download to play with.

Awesome! Thanks again, can't wait to download it.
