Can we back to an old feature of anime studio in AS10 ?

I have a question to ask you very important to me.

There is a function that has been changed since AS9.5 and AS10 now, and I want to return to the old management of this function.
To be clear I wish to returned to the old way to switch depth of the objects, it means by the pivot point and not by the object itself, just simply because it's more accurate through the pivot point.

My question is:

How can we returned to an old feature of the program?
Must we make this change via a script or must we rewrite the program?

From my point of view it would be nice to have the possibility to choose between one way or another to switch forms by adding an option in the menus.

Do you have a simple 9.5 file that we could compare in each version?

Here is a test made on AS9.2 and it not work proprely on AS9.5/10:

The actual Z depth management of AS9.5/10 is good, but sometime it can cause some switch at the wrong time in my R&D files.
I work on a new way to create characters, i simulate 3D with only vector shapes (i dont talk about extrude...) and i must do complicated manipulations to solve those bad switch.
I want to simplified my work.

Oh, I thought you said the change was new to 10. I no longer have 9.2 installed.
