Image files animation: Merry Christmas

Can a visually interesting/captivating animation be made using mostly hand drawings with minimal rigging or bone-driven vector shapes? Roof Santa's one (image) arm is bone driven, very difficult to rig image files without bad distortion, unless motion is very limited. Kids legs are simple 2 image switch. Perhaps "stiff" look of animation is somewhat offset by drawing textures. Much easier to properly draw shading on image files than to create various shaded vector shapes and/or apply gradient properly. Sleigh "bang" sound on roof seemed timed right when initially created, not sure what happened there.

Something about the way the kids' eyes look up rather than ahead when they run toward the presents makes them look almost scary. But overall, this looks great!

Thanks, and good point about the eyes! Well, at least I didn't have them roll completely around so you only see their whites... :-) Thanks again for the review!

I agree with Danimal. Else nice concept and camera angles. :)
