Slice function?

I have other vector drawing programs and find the slice tools they have very useful. Am I missing something or does AS9.5 not have slice functions? I ask because when it comes to creativity regarding tools, I am not the brightest bulb in the socket. :lol:

When I see "slice tool" I think of bitmap editing like in Fireworks where you cut up an image for placement in a table or to use as an image map. I doubt that's what you mean though so I didn't reply. In that regard, however, no there is no such tool in Anime Studio.

Not exactly a slice, but something you can experiment with:
1) Let say you have a circle made up of slices like a pie. Make each slice a shape ("u" shortcut key).
2) Select all the points of the circle.
3) Run Scripts->Layer Effects->RT: Break Apart Shapes.
This script will split each shape, or slice, into separate layers. Btw, in step one, even if the shapes are separated, they'll be put in their own layer regardless.

You also can use masking to simulate a slice.
