Stuck at 3/4 view lip syncing

Smartbones allow me to turn and tilt a character's face. I learned if I modified a mouth shape with a smartbone before I put it in a switch layer it works properly. I was pretty excited. I thought I was almost there. Lip syncing while doing a head turn is possible...to a point.
When I do a 3/4 view head turn, I use masking for the eyes lips and hair. That works well for a head turn but not so well for lip syncing.
I always put the lower half of the face in the mouth switch because I want the action of the jaw. I cannot find a good masking solution for a mouth switch layer. :(
If I find a solution I promise I'll share it with the forum.

I hope a few animators find this useful.

I posted a progress report which has a head talking and turning to its left. It's getting easier but it still needs work.
Somebody please show me how to embed a video!

The head turn and talking looks perfect to me. What else is there to do?

pinesal, I have to finish the turn to the other side but, before that, I'm working on the phonemes as the head tilts down. That's a bigger challenge for me than a 'side' turn so I'll need time to figure it out. I'll do the body last.
When I see the amount of expressiveness some animators can create I know my journey as a student of animation is far from finished. There's always room for improvement and I love the challenges.
