Quicker animation/Movie Testing

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before but it would be handy if you could do "quick render tests" from fewer mouse clicks.

Say for instance after you set up the project settings, you could nominate your test render formats (output size, quality/compression and so on) then only have to hit one button, enter the frame numbers (also pre populated with the last frame numbers chosen). As I'm often caught out, when doing a quick render and go make a coffee and come back to find it's still waiting for me to choose the quality setting. I'm not sure why we always have to enter the quality settings for every render. Seems it would save time to have all the setting on the same box when you do a render and they all be set to the last setting chosen to save time.

Just my humble opinion.

Great program BTW! I'm just refering to a workflow issue.

Bil,

I agree, this would make life a little easier if it could be done. I have been caught out with this one a few times myself.

It would also be useful if you were able to change the size of the batch render window(screen).

This would enable you to see the full length of a long file name and the time (percentage) remaining.

Kind Regards,

Machath

You can do quick test renders by hitting F5, Moho then renders the project in the selected range (red/green markers), in half resolution with QT S3-codec.

But I agree that (user)preset render option would create a more efficient workflow.

It would be nice also to be able to turn off all the render options like anti-aliasing and particles for test renders automatically.
