Debut 9: Stop Walk Cycle & Connecting layers

Hi, newbie back. I appreciate your patience helping me.

So I make a character in the wizard with a walk cycle (which is apparently the only movement available in Debut). I see the cycle on the timeline. I'm having some trouble understanding how the cycling works. How do I get the walk to stop at a given point? It repeats in all views, of course. So my guy turns to the camera and marches in place, LOL.

Also, can I pin an image layer to a vector layer, as in putting my head on a cartoon body and moving along with it?

Thanks.

Just put a keyframe into the timelines which cycle.

You can "pin" any layer to a bone in a bone layer, you can bind several layers to the same bone.

The walk cycle you refer to is an 'action', have you opened the action window?

Using bone(s) you can pin pictures to vectors. (have fun!)

Excellent, elegantly simple. To resume movement, I found out that I can then copy/paste the original cycle function wherever I want it.

Yes, that's how I got the walk cycle in the first place. BTW, "walk" is the only movement available in my software... no "jump" or anything like that.

Thanks, and thanks!
