This has nothing to do with AS, and it's only an advertising trailer for his comic. However, I like his style.

It was made using ASP though , as ever since 2008 -- first scanning every image and renaming them as numbers with Renamer4mac, then importing them into ASP and editing the .mov sequences in FCE...

Where did you find that info? I found nothing on his website.

Yes, I saw hat page, but there's no mentioning of which software or technique was used. From the look of it I just could say "hand-made, on paper".

As I said, I like that look, it reminds me of some "stoic" german underground comic artists like Mahler, or some out of "Strapazin" magazine.

Since you already do frame by frame, why don't you use TVPaint? Standard edition is 495.- €, and it's worth it.

Yes, that topic has been raised before : I am indeed looking forward to using TV Paint on a Samsung tablet, thus keeping to the semi-nomadic "night & day" working mode I have been cherishing for years now... ASP has proved a very convenient solution in the meanwhile though, and I doubt TV Paint could equal the raw/random graphics of a real nib... and the pleasure of drawing directly on paper. I will try it someday soon however, for sure.

I otherwise reserve technical specs, such as the use of ASP, for such connoisseurs as you guys -- and am still thankful for your patient advice when obvious solutions escape my confused, sleepless mind.

You should try the test version of TVP, and join the forum. They have an Android beta which you can download for free and it works several months.

As for drawing on a tablet: some people easily get used to it, others never do. Fortunately I'm in the first group.

Mimicking your rough line shouldn't be that hard, there are several tricks to achieve that.
