I am making a 3D model of the inner planets and their orbits for the students. It is to show them why NASA can only launch missions to Mars in a small window every 2 years.

Here is what I am having trouble with. I need to use the follow path tool to make the orbits but follow path tool does not work on shapes, so I try to make a perfect circle vector but it seems I can not get the ends to make the correct curve.

Anyone have any idea on doing this or maybe a different way to get the 4 planets to orbit the sun?

Follow path using a layer per object, where is the problem? I'm lost with the problem you have.
