I am using AS8.2 Pro. I am trying to have a moving background behind my main characters. Using crude telegraph poles I have experimented with cycling but have encountered a problem I cannot seem to solve.
I have prepared a pared down version of my files which includes a screenshot of the timeline, a MOV file showing the problem, and have now added an .anme file.
The MOV file shows that at the end of each cycle, the image stops momemntarily for one frame. I cannot achieve continuous motion despite many attempts.
At first I thought it was the pitch between adjacent telegraph poles, but adjusting this did not stop the momentary pause.
Can you offer a solution that I can use in this and future projects involving moving backgrounds ?
My files will be held for a limited period at the following link :

Hey, I've not looked at your files, but make sure that the interpolation is linear, and that the cycle returns to the second frame rather than the first, otherwise the first and last frame are the same and you get a slight pause...

Re: Background Cycling Problem
Frame 1 and 21 (the last of the cycle) are the same, so if your cycle is going back to 1, it will repeat that frame.
Just make your cycle go to frame 2 instead of 1.
Now, there is another problem with this. By default, the keyframes in AS are "smooth". That means the movement starts slowly, accelerates and then finishes slowly. So this way you will never get the sensation of continuous motion.
Solve it is easy. Right click on the keyframe of frame one and set "Linear". That will make that the movement be always at the same speed.
