Working on a project that has switch layers including a papgyo lipsinc. But I have been trying for the better part of 3-4 hours....even looking back on previous versions before lipsinc and I can't add any switch layers anymore!

I bring in two images (jpeg), make a switch layer. Add each one to the switch layer and they just flat out disapear!!!!! I can click on switch layer and see the outline of the layer but nothing I do makes my images visible...I've check size by zooming in and out, check the switch listing when I double click on switch layer and images are not supposed to be hidden in editing mode...nothing! I even made the switch layer the very top layer in my layers panel!

My other switch layers do work but I can't add any new ones. Is there a limit?

And yes I did start a brand new project and the switch layer work in a new project!

I've only had the program since this Friday and am getting along well but this is frustrating me!

Check the switch layer if masking is checked, or the same in any layer the switch layer is in.

Check if you are on frame #0 (you should).

Ok, I played around with the mask but didn't seem to have any effect as far as helping the switch layering.

But One thing I did notice is that the images (and I have used several) do not track with the switch layer. The are immoble with respect to moving around the switch layer and the images in the switch layer also moving.....they do not! For some odd reason they do not bind to the switch layer at all. It is like they are not even a part of the layer...but I know that I put them into the darn switch layer!

Still not sure what the problem is but I can work around it. The project is a short intro piece for a main video tutorial for my students on science/elearning topic. Anyway you can check it out here:

Ok, I played around some more with it and found out that the switch layer was working but my pictures were way...and I mean way off screen somewhere. After some fiddling, I was able to find them! So now the switch does work

Not being able to find imported pics was one of my reoccuring problems in the current project. Seems like when I import images into an existing multiplane setup (That is, levels with different Z values, and already existing camera movement), they will get some odd XY values instead of the default "0,0,0". Once I noticed I looked into those values right after import and reset them

Yep, it was the Z value for me too. I'll have to keep that in mind in the future. But having only owned the program for a week I am getting along with it pretty well. Watching the tutorials has really helped. It's a fun program with many features.
