Snap and Auto Reparent bone script or tool mod

Forum member Autex suggested this idea and I think it's cool as heck. I want to make sure no one else has started or done this. There are tons of cool totally amazing custom tools out there and I hate to reinvent the wheel. :)

Snap Bone and Auto Reparent Bone too or modification

This SHOULD BE a modification of the the translate AND add bone tools. In the meantime a replacement for the existing bone tools will fit the bill.

All of this would be based on the bone shape and existing tools.

Add Bone Tool Snap Feature
Option or modifier key to automatically SNAP a bone to another bone's tip or base based on location when drawing a new bone. For those of you like me who like to have bones EXACTLY and PRECISLEY attached to the tip of a parent bone this would save a ton of time.

Second option to elminate the "alt key" selection for parent when dragging bones.
Instead of SELECTING the parent BEFORE creation of a new bone, the parent bone can be the bone clicked on when drawing a new bone.


New Translate Bone Tool Snap and Auto Reparent
A checkbox option or modifier key so that when you drag a bone to it's parent bone it SNAPS to the parent bones tip or base.

A checkbox option or modifier key combination to auto parent bones when dragging.
When a bone is dragged to another bone it becomes a child of that bone then it snaps BACK to it's original position.


Would love to hear feedback and opinions.

I love the snap idea, but long ago forgot about wanting it. Bring it on.
Keeping the alt method wouldn't be so bad though would it?
