Crayon effect.

Hi, guys!
I have a question regarding Crayon Effect. Visually it's really nice, strong effect but technically not that much. In my opinion, it's intensity makes it completely useless for animation purposes. I mean the colors run too fast, they almost boil inside the shapes, everything looks too crazy and chaotic. Is there any way to "tame" it, make it slower and more smooth?

Hmm, so no one is really using this effect out here?

It's only been 24 hours, leave it it a bit longer if you want to catch more people.

We can chat about stuff to keep bumping the thread up if you like. :)

For the record, I don't use the crayon effect. Like you, I found it a bit too intense, but I wasn't interested enough to work out how to change it.

I don't use crayon effect either, but the crawling or boiling also happens when you use custom brushes on strokes. The workaround for me was to render it out and import it back as an image.

You might consider making this a specialty thread about how to use the crayon effect. Add to it as you discover things. It may come in useful when another user has the same questions.

For example, I did this with the Character Wizard. While it was uniformly panned, I felt it was useful to have at least one thread devoted to it.

Good luck.
