Speed up rendering

Rendering your animation has been a bit of a problem for most animators on here as I can say or it's just been deathly slow rather. However, in addition to trying export your animation as a batch file (Which didn't quite work for me, but it did for others) and decreasing the size of your rendering window, I also suggest closing down all programs that use a lot of memory (Primarily, your internet browser as browsers such as Google Chrome use a lot of memory and explorer.exe). Closing down explorer.exe has sped up the exporting rate substantially and that's most likely for the reason that explorer is the menu screen of your computer profile (The program that displays your icons, menu bar, background, etc). I'm not sure what the program is called on MACs, but generally closing down the processes that use the most memory does increase the exporting rate.
You can do this by pressing Ctrl+alt+del on Windows
For macs, you'll need to open the Activity Monitor (Here is how to do it:( http://www.ehow.com/how_5110396_open-ac ... nitor.html
I hope this helps those who haven't tried this or didn't know about this.
