A Change of Clothes

Hi all,
I've been hard at work making one "master" character with all of the expressions, body parts, and viewing angles (front, profile, etc.).

He looks good and moves well, but it's dawned on me that he's only designed for a long-sleeved white shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes at this point. What if I wanted him to have different clothes?

I know I can change the color of the clothes with styles—I've set up styles for shirt, jeans, and shoes that have the colors white, blue, and brown, respectively. But if I change the color that way, I would lose the original.

Is there a good way to keep a few different outfits on hand contained in one "instance" of the character? That is, I want to be able to swap out clothes without having a bunch of separate versions of the character: a version of him in casual attire, a completely separate version of him wearing formal, another of him in pajamas, another of him without a shirt, etc.

What do you guys do for convenient and reliable clothes changes?

Thanks,
Thrashador

I think using Switch layers for the clothes will be a painful experience...
I think the best way is to create one version of you character for every style you need.

What he says. As long as your character doesn't change within a scene, there's no need for clothes in switch layers. Use differently clothed master files instead and import them into your scenes.

Thank you, guys. I don't think that'll be too hard after all.

You're cool.
