How do (can?) you bind multiple bones to one vector layer?

How do you bind multipe bones to a vector layer? I want my arm to be one vector layer from shoulder to finger so when I rotate it it will bend (stretch) in the joints and the lines stay togather. I don't know if this can even be done (looking on youtube every video show how make arms with multipe layers).
