Important question about Blend Morphs

Hi.

I'm new to Anime Studio Pro.

Here's my question. Suppose I set up an action named, for example, "Smile". Then I go to, say, frame 100 and open Blend Morphs and push the slider all the way to the right.

I'd actually like the Blend Morphs dialog box to stay open, but it won't let me, so I close it.

A little later in my animation, I would like to pull back on the "smile", so I open the Blend Morphs dialog but the smile slider is set to 0 (all the way on the left) not where I left it. True, I can slide up the Default pose slider, but that is not what I want to do since other things have changed and all I want to do is affect the mouth, let's say.

I would like to have sliders that affect just the x and y values of the points that move, not everything in the scene.

Is there a way to do this? What about doing it with scripts? Has anyone done this or is it possible.

Thanks and cheers.

Did You have a look at the morphdials script from Rudiger?

Hi there Gilles. If I recall, you used to hang out at the A:M forums a while ago. Nice to see you again.

In any case, the Morph Dials Script looks great and would seem to do what I want.

I looked for a tutorial on it on YouTube and on one of the videos by "Funksmaname" the following comment was written:

...plus soon 8.1 introduces relative blending in the core blend morphs...

Is this true? Because that also sounds exactly what I want. Do you know when 8.1 is scheduled for release?

Been a while since I been to the A:M forum, my last update was many years ago, You still hang there?

Yes, it has been discussed that 8.1 will have a relative settings for blendmorph, which will make it more like the morphdials script.

The word is that 8.1 update will come out soon, haven't heard of a date yet!

I haven't been there in over a month. Still use it from time to time?

In any case, does anyone know here when the update is coming out?

Thanks!

No I do not, I bought Softimage several years ago when We switched to it at work, never looked back since!

From what was said in the last Webinar, it should come out very soon!
