Hi Guys,
I have 2 layers, green landscape and drought landscape of the same location. I wd like to switch from green to drought in a slow motion, of 3 seconds, in somewhat an onion peeling kinda effect.
What is the best way to do that?
Thanks

I can't imagine what you mean by "onion peeling", but you can easily do this with masking.
Put both landscapes into a group/bone layer, with the green one on top. Set this to "mask this layer", the desert to "don't mask this layer". Create whatever shapes you want to animate in whatever many layers between the two landscapes and set each layer to "add to mask, but keep invisible". Set the group layer to "Hide all". Make sure that these shapes in the beginning comletely cover the area of the green landscape. Now animate them in whatever fashion you like so they reveal the bottom landscape.

I would do this in a video editor. It would save you lots of time and trouble.
But you can do it like slowtiger suggest and get good results also.

do you think this might be language breakdown and he means 'onion skinning' - or in other words a 3 second fade?
I might be wrong but it could be a misunderstanding

Thank you,
I actually done it using "fading in". The
problem being that the "green" layer
fades from bright to dark prior to display of
"desert" layer, which serves the transitional
purpose, but in reality from "green to desert"
the light moves from dark to bright.
