for some reason my freehand tool does not work.

the points on the line do show but the line does not. even when pressure is adjusted. did i set something wrong?

Is the auto-stroke checked?

With out it you need to 'Create shape' (u)-(funny looking hart, sorta on its side) tool. Then click on 'Space bar' then 'Enter'

On the tool proprieties, check "auto stroke".
