I keep getting weird lines in my character like the one shown on the hands in this picuture below, does any one know why this happens.

Great looking character!
Those lines might be just a trace of outlines, or to be precise lack of outlines. There was a talking about similar issues, but couldn`t find the right topic.
It all depends of how you create shapes, and in some cases if you used auto fill and stroke while creating the shapes and later modified them by adding some effects, hiding outlines partially... - that leaves some unwanted data/lines in rendering. I`ll try to find that topic, and link it here.

Might be a doubled shape, meaning two fill shape on top of each other.
Try deleting the skin shape and see if there is another one underneath, usually the default white.
Very nice character btw!

There is an "illegal" shape there (maybe it's paint bucket's fault). Try deleting the shape paint it again using the create shape tool.

I did just about every thing you said at the bottom half of this post when i created this character, there was no second image underneath it.

Selgin, what do you mean by 'illegal' shape?

One you get fined for if you try to get it across the border.
No, seriously: AS is capable of producing shapes which break its own rules for shapes, making it impossible to colour them correctly etc. Usually this happens while welding outlines, and this is the reason I don't use that feature at all.
