Here is another scene. I still haven't settled on the character design. She's got pointy ears in this one.

The animation's really nice, especially in the wide shot.
The only thing I didn't like was at 0.11 when the hand is close to the camera, then it moves back at 0.13, then the line of the hand is too thin compared to the rest of her body. It looks like it's from a different character.
It's prolly only me who's bothered by that, though.

it reminds me of Ren and Stimpy for some reason

Good point JaMike. That hand bothered me for some reason, The line of the hand, of course! Ren and Stimpy, I can't escape them! No; thanks Kellz, that's fine by me.

Wow! I like it. But I like thick lines in general.
The female character fits into a certain european comic style from the 80's - think Yves Chaland, Daniel Torres, and Max (of "Peter Punk"). If you do the whole film in this style, you'll have a winner.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I like the style too, it's just when the style rules are broken that I realise it's animation and not real.

Thank's slowtiger, I'm not familiar with the artists you mentioned, but I'll look them up. JaMike, you are right, that was sloppy of me.

Looks great! How did you do the lightning effect when she zaps the monster?
I'm a fan!

Thank's neeters, The lightning zap effects were made with the free-hand tool, drawing random patterns over the creature, adding noisy animation to the vectors, and a bit of tweaking to the points. Then I.. ( this was done earlier this year ) think I duplicated the lightning layer , lowered this new layers opacity and changed its blending mode to screen. All the other interactive light on the girl and the beast were masking effects, again with layer blending mode adjustments. The radial beams of light were a filter added later in the editing.

I think its great mainly for the reasons already stated but for me its because its got a really great look and use of the different shots with a restricted colour palette.
nice one.

Thank's all, the intention is to make a short. If I just had an attention span beyond a gnats, I might be able to do it. Thank's Dale.
