Not sure if this is a bug of if it should be this way...
First of all, I really like the select multiple bones feature, thanks LM!

In the release notes it says
All bone tools (where it makes sense) can now operate on multiple bones.
...NOT often useful for translating multiple bones at once...
The "NOT often" suggests that it could be done but it's not reccomended, but I can't use the Translate tool at all, it's just greyed out when I have several bones selected. I really want to move multiple bones at once...

The problem is that if you move a parent bone, all of its children move with it. So, if you have a parent and a child selected and try to move both, the child will actually move twice as far as you expect (it moves with the parent as always, and then moves on its own). Even though this behavior would be correct, I think it would be confusing to many people.

So this will not work? No chance of having an option if you would want this or not (some tick box maybe, saying enable/disable multiple bone translation)?

There are no plans to add this feature (in my mind it's not even a feature, but a mechanism for confusion), but anyone is free to modify the Translate Bone script to handle multiple bones if they want to.
