Hi all,
I just started using AS 8 Debut and am struggling with exporting to ANY format. What I would really like to do is to export to still images...i do not need any moving parts really. I plan on making comic style projects...not videos. I made a character with the wizard and would like to export it as an image file. Even trying to export to Quicktime or SWF is greyed out when I goto Export Animation. any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried search a little on the forums, but got a lot of results. Sorry and thanks!

Have you tried to do a quick render (ctrl or cmd + r on your keyboard) then use the save as... button at the bottom of the render window?

I have done this and the Save As button is grayed out. Is this because I am using the 30 day trial at this time?

Ah yeah, if you run the 30 days trial without a serial you cannot save files in any ways that I know of and the quick render should have demo written all over if I remember correctly.

Yeah I just noticed the demo writing on the image (can barely see it on my character lol) Thanks for the info! If i do end up purchasing the Debut version I will be able to export the character image, right?

Debut does not allow you to render images. What you can do is do a quick render then use a screen capture and then crop it.

Problem is that he has the 30 days demo, there are watermarks on the quick render.
I suppose he could remove most of them in a paint software.
