Slowing down speed of particles

Hi,

I have a quick question. For this we will use the "sparkles" particle layer out of the Scripts>Particle Effects menu.

When you put the object in the workspace, it seems to have a constant speed that the particles float out of the center.

I want to change this so that the particles move at a much slower rate. I tried messing with all the options in the "particle" tab but nothing seems to make a difference.

It seems like I am able to speed up the movement of the particles, but I cannot slow them down.

I'd like the particles to float very slowly. Any ideas?

That particle script has animation for the sub-layers that run for 20 frames, that's why you can't change the speed in the particle options. You would have to re-time all the animations on all the sub-layers and then play with the velocity and dampening settings plus particle lifetime settings. Or better way would be to render out the particles in a quicktime movie/png codec/millions of colors+, re-import the movie and change the playback framerate in the layer settings. Here's a sample I did re-time, AS8. You can see the changes I made.
