What is the best way to draw lines? For instance, in the image below, I had to add points to a sign to create legs/lines. Is there not a line tool?

You just use the add point tool with sharp corner checked, this will draw straight lines.

Then you add a stroke as you would any lines!

When I draw with freehand tool, I have this "problem" (no brush):

How can I add the stroke in ALL the shape?

Go to freehand options and set variable line width to none, this way the stroke will be uniform, if that is what you meant!
