I was wondering if anyone knows a good way to animate a blood splatter effect, or anything with a sort of fluid effect. Please help!

I must have said this many times over the years, but good blood spatter (and many other effects like steam and water) can be had with the Odd Job Jack Series 3 artwork, which has been released on Creative Commons Licence. (In other words, you can use it however you like).

This is in Flash format, but it's quite old (MX2004 I think), so if you can pick up an old copy of Flash cheap, you can then export these things to Anime Studio.

I installed MX, but when I downloaded this, http://www.clearbits.net/torrents/42-od ... -13-assets and opened it with MX, I got: "Failed to initialize Security Client. Error code: 202"

You don't need another program if you just want to animate some fluids.

Learn about basic animation in AS, espacially trasnforming shapes with point animation. Learn about layer visibility. Then apply your knowledge to your task.

(And what is it that every newbie is obsessed with blood and hair?)

I looked around for slowtiger, and there he was!

The torrent is ALL THE FILES of series 3 of Odd Job Jack. Along with the .FLA files for each episode, you get a folder of images of each file so you can pick out which file you want. You should be able to figure it out from there...
