I hope someone can help with this, it's very weird! I have a bone layer and then I have several images and switch layers bound to those bones, all using bind layer. I've done this hundreds of times.

I'm about half way through animating a scene and when I opened the file this morning I found that when I rotate a bone, the bone disappears and and all of it's parent bones up the chain. Not only that that but any layers bound to those bones also disappear.

So I've no idea what I'm supposed to do now!

I've tried zooming out and I can't see the images anywhere. I'm not using the bone offset tool either. Even more frustrating as I'm supposed to finish it today because it's a wedding gift!

If you see back the bone again give it a name. It is just to localize it once it disappears again.
I've seen this before. It is something related to bone influence and binding. Once the bone is selected with the Strength Tool check what's its strength and unbind it later with the bind tool (vector and layer). Start it over again.

Because I was on a tight deadline I ended up having to create a new rig and start again. Although I was able to use some of the animation from the broken rig.

After reading your reply I went back to the file and tried naming the bones, and trying different bone strengths but no luck. Weird!
