Preview settings? (quick render, Command+R)

Hello everyone,

When I export animations I only check the "Apply shape effects" and "Apply layer effects", because antialiasing and smooth images only take time and actually make the image looks worse (on this project anyway).

But when I want a quick preview (With Command+R), it very often takes a looong time to render, I think because it always applies antialiasing and smooth images (or 1 of them).

Is there a way to switch it off?

Thanks,

Lukas

not that i know of - but if, while you work, you set your canvas size to 1/4 actual size it should speed up your previous significantly (just maintain the same aspect ratio and you shouldn't see any change in the editor)

Then just scale it back up for final output.

Thing is, because the preview settings are different from the final export settings, it doesn't really function as a preview. Because of the smooth images I get strange lines in my characters when certain .png files overlap.

I don't want to edit my canvas settings all the time, because I have hundreds of shots and the project settings should just stay like they should be to avoid mistakes. It calculates things I don't need. Seems pretty useless and a waste of time.

PNG files: I found that it helped to give each image a fuzzy border of 1 px and render it on transparent BG.

My .png files are fine. I don't need antialiasing or smooth images. I just want the preview button not to render with antialiasing or smooth images.
