On frame zero, vector layer, on styles drop down I selected <none>, message appears - defaults (for new shapes) , there is a red check next to "fill". I cannot uncheck it.
Is there a reason that new shapes must be filled --- or can "fill" somehow be unchecked for "defaults (for new shapes).

I want to draw an elipse with no fill. I am trying to create a layer - with a black rectangle the size of the entire layer. Then draw a half-dozen smaller circles with no fill. Creating holes in the black layer to reveal the layer below.

if you look to the left of where you select what shape you want to draw, you will find the checkbox for auto-fill and auto-stroke. uncheck the auto-fill box ; select the rectangle shape and draw it out to size. there should be no fill now;select the circle and draw them out where you want them; they will not have fill either. select the create shape tool(keyboard shortcut U) and select all points with the lasso mode.press the space bar or the create shape button at the top the rectangle will now fill with selected color and the circles will be holes with no fill.
Thanks!
Thanks! I will take that for a test drive.
