I see now that when you select the rotate tool a centre of rotation for the selected points is shown but you can`t seem to move it.
Being able to select points and move where the centre of rotation is would
be very useful.

If you then use the translate tool on those same selected points, it achieves the exact same result as if you had rotated them around a different axis.

Yes thats true but not very intuitive,I find it much easier to move a pivot as you would in illustrator and then see the result as you rotate rather than rotating points around a averaged centre and then having to re-aline them.
just a thought.
