How do you move a rotation point?

When I create a shape on screen the rotation point is always in the center which is fine. However I want to move this pivot point but cannot find any information on how to move it.
Any help would be appreciated

Look on forum for fazek's tools. This are scripts of the tools modified. Fazek's rotation tool let you to move the pivot.
(before installing scripts, remember always backup)

Usually you don't rotate shapes with the shape rotaton tool (R) in animation because instead of a rotation you'll get an odd shape shifting with all points moving on straight lines.
Instead you use the layer rotation tool (3). You can set the layer's point of origin with its tool (0), this always is the pivot point of a layer (also for all 3D operations).
