Using Image Sequence

I have been wanting to make a type of slide show. I was wondering if the Image Sequence is used for this, if not what is it for?
No. Image Sequence is for importing a number of images all at once, say barn001, barn002 etc...
There are a number of different ways of making a slide show. I'd use switch layers, but no doubt there will be people with other ideas.
