Allow shortcut in library OR pick library location

I tried creating a shortcut (a windows link) to my assets directory in the Library folder, so that I do not tie my project assets to the AS program, but Anime Studio did not detect it. I would like to be able to use shortcuts OR be able to pick the library location (i.e. when I click the Library button, it opens "C:\Animation\Project\Assets", not "C:\Program Files\Smith Micro\Anime Studio Pro 6\Library". I am currently on ver 6, and I assume that the latest version does not have this feature.
