Hello, i'm thinking about buyng Anime Studio to be able to replace very old creature house expression + livingcels to create animated backgrounds for my animations.
I use a custom technique, usually animating characters in 3d, an making backgrounds using vectorial strokes based on bitmap rendered images..
Here are some still images examples:

so, what i would need, is :
to import a png bitmap
to use them as a custom vectorial brush
i would also appreciate anyone pointing me to any other modern animation software to do i

Woah, very interesting style you have there!
AS' abilities with "brushes" are very limited. They only affect the outlines of shapes, there's little to no control over their appearance, and they can only be in uniform colour.
Don't expect AS to behave like a paint program - it isn't. For real painting I'd recommend TVPaint (animation) or some other paint software (for still images).
That said, I still think your style of images could be animated in AS. You could produce the parts in another program, then import the pieces as PNG images and assemble and animate them in AS in cutout style.

I really like you use of 3d! Looks surrealistic or rather futuristic. Liked the black and white images on Facebook and the color animations on your website.

Do you use Livingcels to animate the backgrounds? I have Livingcels and Anime Studio. I am familiar with Livingcel's skeletal strokes. I am trying to figure out what you want to with the strokes. If you want to animate them, you can animate PNG images in Anime Studio as slowtiger said and you can also deform them with bones which could create effects similar to what you could do in Livingcels. Anime Studio Pro (which I use) also has different blend and masking options. I am not sure what the features of Anime Studio Debut are.
However if you try to use them as brushes in Anime Studio you options would be limited.
Anime Studio has the advantage over Livingcels that you can preview your animation as you work on it and also easily work with keyframes.

ohh thanks

mmm i want to use intercalations beetween several vectorial paints in order to simulate , let's say, lightrays, fire, ocean, grass, clothes etc
so i think animating with skeletons won't be the best way to go, i mean, it would be REALLY time consuming...
Anime studio seems a very good piece of software for animation...
So, any suggestion would be really appreciated, or it would be awesome if someone can share a different livingcels version from wich i have (it is freeware, so is nothing illegal to ask, i believe)
